SERVICES

Studio Spitsbergen is a residential recording studio in the rural northern part of the Netherlands. 

RECORDING

The studio hosts a great sounding recording room (60m2), with two glass-featured isolation booths. Besides those three recording spaces there are also two separate rooms for guitar & bass cabinets with wiring to the main recording room. Hence it's possible to record with your full band with eye contact and hardly any crosstalk. Because of the height (5m) and well planned acoustics there are almost no distracting reflections etc. Drums sound great in here. Last but not least the recording room, with it's theatre lighting, has a very relaxed and inspirational vibe. Many bands praised the energetic sound they captured in here.

MIXING & MASTERING

Studio Spitsbergen features an experienced engineer, a great sounding controlroom, state-of-the-art monitoring and a nice array of (vintage) analog and digital equipment to make the mix and/or master of you tracks sound 'radio ready'.

We can also mix and master the recording you've made elsewhere or on your own.

RESIDENTIAL

Get away from it all to fully focus on your music? The complete front living area of the farmhouse is a comfortable guesthouse so you can stay overnight in a relaxed and quiet environment with your whole band.

It features a relaxing living area with an open plan kitchen, fire place, four bedrooms (that can host a maximum of 8 people), two bathrooms, one featuring a bathtub. The whole studio is Wifi equiped.

At the back of the property there a big garden, and at the end of a busy studio day you can chill out on the large terrace on the side.

THE RECORDING STUDIO

Great sounding acoustics, comfortable living accomodation, high end equipment, an experienced and dedicated producer/engineer and a relaxed and creative environment create the ideal location for your next studio recording.

LOCATION

The music studio is situated in a completely remodelled farmhouse from the 1870's. Thanks to it's quiet, rural location you can work and focus on your music without any distractions.

The old stable part of farmhouse was completely rebuilt and now serves as the recording studio, the living areas at the front are fully renovated and will be completely at your disposal, 24/7.

The city of Groningen is just a 10 minute drive away. Amsterdam is a 2 hour drive by car.

There are many great historical spots to visit in the surround area, a small lake with beach and swimming facilities is a 15 minute walk/ 1 minute drive away.

Supermarkets and restaurants are located in Hoogezand/Sappemeer, a 5 minute drive from the studio.

Studio Spitsbergen is equipped with a well balanced mixture of (vintage) analog gear and state-of-the-art digital equipment.
